Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia and the centre of the Province of Cagliari. It is located in the southern part of the Italian island. Port of Carloforte

Main sights in Cagliari

The Parco di Monte Urpinu lies on a hill and is the largest and highest located park in the city. It is famous for the wild animals and hiking routes. It is a perfect spot for a picnic; families with small children often come to visit. There is a wonderful view of the city and the sea from the top.

The Orto Botanico dell’ Università di Cagliari, as the name suggests, is located on the campus of the University of Cagliari. It is maintained by the staff and students of the institution. Which period is best to sail Cagliari?

Sardinia, the beautiful island where Cagliari is located, has typical Mediterranean weather. Summers are long and hot, while the winter is wet. In July and August, the average temperature is 24-25°C. The major winds here are the Mistral and the Sirocco. Several wind turbines have been built, benefiting from the windy climate. If you are mainly interested in swimming, the weather is ideal between the end of May and the beginning of September. If you prefer more active recreation and hiking, it is also worth visiting the place in the spring and autumn periods.
