Weather of Bol

Bol has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature is 25.3 °C in July and 8, 3 °C in January. Marina Bol (Brač

The port of Bol is located on the southern coast of Brač Island, about halfway between Milna and Sumartin. It is small, so it can be hard to find a free berth during the main season. The depth of the water is 6–7 metres at the entrance and 2 metres at the pier. It provides drinking water, electricity and laundry, as well as cafés and restaurants. Ports of Milna

The town is popular among sailors. The three ports can accommodate more than 300 boats. The largest is the ACI Marina Milna with 170 berths, where boats up to 40 metres in length can drop anchor. The depth of the seabed is 6 metres. The port offers many quality services, and refuelling is also possible. Located on the northern side of Milna Bay, the Marina Vlaska offers 71 berths for boats up to 25 metres. The depth of the seabed is 15 metres.

Port of Sutivan (Brač

Sutivan is located on the northern coast of the island of Brač, only 7 km from Supetar. Larger boats can anchor in front of the bay, smaller boats can berth in the port. The depth of the seabed at the entrance of the port is 6 metres, while along the quay it is 2-3 metres.

There is only a limited number of berths in the port. Supetar’s outer port is reserved for ferries and commercial vessels. In contrast, mostly smaller boats and yachts use the inner basin. Port of Pučišća (Brač

This small port is located on the northeast coast of the island of Brač. It has 25 berths, of which about 8-10 are reserved for yachts. The depth of the seabed along the quas is 1, 2-2, 3 metres, and 3, 5-4, 3 metres in the middle of the port.

Port of Sumartin

Marina Stari Grad (Hvar

Brusje port

Brusje, along with the neighbouring Velo and Malo Grablje, has been a suburb of Hvar for centuries. It is famous for its church dedicated to St. George, built-in 1676. The little village on the hill offers magnificent views over the nearby island of Brač.

Port of Hvar

The town of Hvar Island, which bears the same name, is the most popular docking place on the island. The port provides safety against northern winds; however, southern and northwestern winds can cause significant waves. Docking is expensive on the town’s pier, but you can do it on the other side of the port for a fair price. You can choose from several services including fuelling. Marina Sveti Klement (Hvar

ACI Marina Palmižana is located on the northeastern part of Saint Klement Island, which belongs to the Pakleni archipelago. This is one of the safest harbours on the Adriatic Sea. It offers 180 berths for ships as long as 30 metres. The depth of the water is 3–8 metres. It is open seasonally, from the 1st of April until the 31st of October. They provide showers, Wi-Fi, cafés, and if you are hungry you can also find restaurants and grocery stores.

The port of Vrboska (Hvar)

ACI Marina Vrboska is famous for its beautiful surroundings. Beautiful lavender fields, ancient olive trees and vineyards can be found nearby. It can accept a total of 119 boats with a length of up to 20 metres. The depth of the water is 5 metres. The port offers several good-quality services including a fuel station.

Port of Jelsa (Hvar)

The port has 54 berths for ships up to 40 metres. The depth of the water is 2.70–4 metres at the northern and 1.50–3.70 metres at the southern shores. They offer water, electricity and shower cabins.

The port of Sućuraj (Hvar

Sućurajis a small port and tourist establishment. It is located in Sućuraj Bay, in the eastern part of Hvar Island. It offers 9 berths for yachts, which are located to the west from the ferry port. The depth of the water is 2-3 metres.

Port of Sveta Nedjelja

Marina Zlatan Otok is a small port run by a family. It is located in a small village called Sveta Nedjelja on the southern shore of Hvar Island, app. 12 kilometres from Hvar city. The port can accept ships up to 18 metres long – the depth of the water is 4 metres. Ships up to 40 metres long can also dock on the outer side of the mole; the depth of the water is 7 metres here. The port opens in May or June and closes in October. It is also unique because it is exposed to the Mistral, causing waves.

The port of Zavala (Hvar

The little port of Zavala is located on the southern shore of Hvar Island, near Šćedro Island. Smaller yachts can dock at the mole, while larger ones can dock at the bay. The depth of the water is 6–16 metres at the bay, and 2–3 metres at the mole.

Marina Vis

This marina can accommodate 70 boats up to 20 metres in length. The Bora and Jugo winds can make berthing difficult, thus when they are blowing stronger, it is better anchoring at the quay at the nearby town of Kut. We begin our trip in Bol, and this is where we will return after visiting the marvellous sights located in the area.

Day 1. Bol – Stari Grad (Mooring Bouys)

From Glavica Hill, we can both admire the town and Brač Island to the north. If you are interested in beautiful buildings, the most famous sights of the establishment are Hektorović Castle, Church of Saint Rocco and the Dominican Monastery. As for restaurants, we particularly recommend the Konoba Batana and the Antika.

Day 2. Stari Grad (Mooring Bouys) – Vrboska (ACI Marina)

Vrboska is located in a hidden bay, which has its two sides connected by bridges. As a result, it got the name “Little Venice”. The town’s architecture sights include the Fortress-Church of Saint Mary from 1575 and the Church of Saint Lawrence. You can find the restaurant Trica Gardelin, offering traditional Dalmatian cuisine, at the centre of the establishment. Their menu includes fresh fish, frutti di mare, meat dishes and pizzas..

Day 3. Vrboska (ACI Marina) – Jelsa

Jelsa is located in the middle of Hvar, and it is bordered by forests as well as the two highest mountains of the island. One of Dalmatia’s largest and most beautiful parks is located here: Perivoj was established in 1870. You can also find several Mediterranean and tropical plants in the area. The town has been well-known for its excellent red wines.

Day 4. Jelsa – Vela Stiniva-bay

Besides its attractive sights, Hvar Island offers many beautiful hidden bays as well. If you are looking for peace and quiet, Vela Stiniva on the north is a perfect destination. You can spend the night in the calm port.

Day 5. Vela Stiniva-bay – Podgora

One of the main attractions of the town is the Church of All Saints. Nature enthusiasts must visit the Biokovo Nature Park where they can find the Kotišina Botanical Garden. If you get hungry, choose the 2 Monkeys of Vruja restaurants.

Day 6. Podgora – Makarska

Makarska’s most beautiful building and symbol are the St. Mark’s Cathedral, built-in 1766. If you like hiking, Osejava Park Forest is a great choice. Day 7. Makarska – SumartinBol

Sumartin is located on the eastern edge of the Brač Island. It is famous for the Church of St. Martin, after which the town got its name. The lovers of the sea can choose from crystal clear bays such as Žukovik, Studena or Rasotica. You can find a deserted town near Rasotica. Sumartin’s most famous event is the „Gospe od anđela”. The largest establishment on the southern beach of Bol a Brač Island is located at the foot of Vidova Gora mountain. Out of all the sights here, it is important to mention its monuments from ancient Roman times, decorative Baroque manors, and the Dominican Monastery from the 15th century.
